Trimble announced that SITECH Technology Dealers have been established to serve civil construction contractors. In southern Illinois, southern Missouri and portions of Kansas and Oklahoma, SITECH Mid-America joins the network of SITECH dealerships — a fully-dedicated global distribution network offering a comprehensive portfolio of construction technology systems available to the civil contractor.

Takeuchi-US, a manufacturer of compact equipment, has awarded Diamond Equipment as the 2019 Dealer of the Year of the Midwest region. Takeuchi's Midwest region business manager Paul Wade presented the award to members of Diamond Equipment at their Evansville, Ind., location.

Takeuchi-US has awarded Star Equipment as the 2019 Dealer of the Year of the Central Midwest Region. Star Equipment's successful sales effort in 2019 has proven to show it is outstanding in the construction equipment market, according to Takeuchi.

Roland Machinery Company has added the Humdinger & Tana earth moving and waste equipment product lineup at its locations throughout the midwest. Humdinger Equipment Ltd. and Tana North America Ltd. are privately-owned companies based in Texas, and are manufacturers and distributors of pull scrapers, landfill compactors, waste shredders, windrow turners and trommel screens, with modern control and remote monitoring systems, according to the companies.

Owner of PIRTEK Menomonee Falls, Wis., Tom Fechter landed a massive job on a Great Lakes area barge this past winter. The boat, named the Integrity, needed custom-fabricated hoses and fittings onsite. The scope of work included the replacement of 258 hoses on the vessel — a task that was simply too large for many competitors.

The Steffes Group will return to live auctions when bidders gather in Horace, N.D., on July 8. The event will mark 117 days since the company's most recent live auction. Meanwhile, the company has continued with scores of successful online auctions of machinery, land and other assets.

After more than a decade of working together as one great team, Whayne Supply and Walker Machinery now move forward under one brand: Boyd CAT, led by current president and CEO Monty Boyd. Boyd announced the name change will take immediate effect across both internal and external channels.

RC Mowers recently welcomed a Midwest family of companies — Trenchers Plus of Burnsville, Minn.; L.F. George of Wisconsin; and Midwest Underground Supply of South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa — to its dealer network. Trenchers Plus and its affiliates are now offering another option for slope brush mowing with remote control to customers.

When the unprecedented and historical flooding started in the Missouri and Platte River basins in March 2019, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District responded immediately. Within hours, the District, led by the Readiness Branch, was developing plans and sending materials out to fight the flood and provide assistance to communities within harm's way.

What would become Burris Equipment Co. began in the late 1920s as a highway garage, deriving most of its business from the heavy Chicago-Wisconsin traffic. With the installation of Route 41, the company emerged as a dealership in the 1930s. In 1931, Burris Implement was opened on the original site of the Waukegan Regional Airport by Linden and May Burris.

During September, Foley Equipment hosted a series of mini-excavator demonstrations in Wichita, Kan.; Manhattan, Kan.; Topeka, Kan.; and Kansas City, Mo. All events took place on the grounds of the Foley facilities, with the exception of the Manhattan event, which was held at the Kansas State University Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
