Articulated dump truck

Designed with the demands of today's job site in mind, John Deere has introduces the new E-II articulated dump trucks (ADTs). The models, including the 410E-II and 460E-II, incorporate customer-driven features, resulting in greater operator comfort, reduced fuel burn, increased uptime and lowered daily operating costs, according to the manufacturer.

In the clay mining business, you must have dependable trucks. That's why Keith Radford, owner of KR Trucking in Gleason, Tenn., leases his 20 off-highway articulated dump trucks (ADTs) and purchases extended warranties. Since Radford and his dad Kenneth founded KR Trucking in 2002, the company has grown from five to 66 employees.

Off-highway trucks are designed to haul ton-after-ton of material throughout quarries and mines and traverse unpaved haul roads in the pursuit of building economies and infrastructure around the world. From time-to-time, the truck bodies on these trucks cannot contain the material they need to maximize efficiency.

The Cat 740 GC articulated dump truck (ADT) re-introduces the 40-ton (36.3 t) size class to the Cat ADT range. The new model is designed to incorporate the features and performance of models currently in the ADT lineup, including new controls, transmission-protection features, hoist-assist system, advanced traction-control system, stability-assist system and a fuel-saving ECO mode.

Reinforcing its commitment to providing best-in-class construction equipment, John Deere now offers an extended coverage of five-years/15,000-hours as part of its articulated dump truck (ADT) transmission warranty on all new E-Series models. “This industry-leading warranty emphasizes our dedication to producing reliable and durable ADTs,” said Maryanne Graves, product marketing manager, articulated dump trucks, John Deere Construction & Forestry.

Building on more than 40 years of articulated dump truck (ADT) experience, Doosan Infracore North America LLC announced a series of enhancements to its DA30-5 ADT. A new version of the Doosan DA30-5 includes numerous updates to the truck's performance, operator comfort, controllability of the machine, ease of maintenance and fuel efficiency.

The John Deere 310E articulated dump truck (ADT) has been recognized with a Good Design Award for design excellence and innovation. The Good Design Awards Program, presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, showcases the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic designs produced around the world.

Having introduced the compact Fiori D40 articulated dumper to the U.S. market earlier this year, Dominion Equipment Parts LLC has now announced the availability of two similarly versatile, larger capacity models. The Fiori D70 SW and D100 SW dumper trucks with tipper body and swivel bed with 180-degree, trilateral dumping ability are based on robust, straight framed carriers with four-wheel steering (4WS).

One of the most common mistakes made when selecting an off-highway haul truck is assuming that rigid and articulated dump trucks (ADTs) are alike. Although they both have massive hauling capabilities, the fact is each truck type has specific features that are valuable in certain applications.
