Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) popularized the articulated hauler concept in 1966 with the birth of the 10-ton payload DR631 – fondly known as ‘Gravel Charlie'. Some 54 years later, the company is still transporting earth, gravel and a host of other materials over rough, muddy, slippery, steep or otherwise impassable terrain.

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is launching its 105- ton (95 t) R100E rigid in North America. With a size and capacity that make it the largest hauler in the company's line-up, the new R100E rigid hauler from Volvo CE promises to drive down operating costs for customers by boosting productivity, uptime and operator comfort, according to the manufacturer.

When Charah Solutions challenged Kenworth to meet its tough truck application specifications, the result was a success for its operations. "We had a wide range and mix of manufacturers' trucks at different sites. I saw the need to come up with a better solution than anybody else had offered before," said Gavin Nawrocki, fleet manager of Charah Solutions.

Mack Trucks, the "Official Hauler of NASCAR," unveiled two customized truck wrap designs for its Mack Anthem haulers as part of the NASCAR Salutes Refreshed by Coca-Cola campaign. Fans cast their votes for four wraps, choosing designs that will decorate two trucks from NASCAR's fleet of Mack Anthem haulers.
