Franklin Equipment announced another store opening in Louisville Ky. This new location expands Franklin Equipment's regional coverage from stores in Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Tennessee into Kentucky. This latest location is part of Franklin's expansion into the Southeast along with the new store in Nashville that opened in May.

Highlift Equipment Ltd., located in Cincinnati, has acquired the assets of Rental Stop Ohio LLC in Columbus (Sunbury), OH. Current operations of Rental Stop Ohio will continue in Central Ohio with Jeff Loudermilk, former Rental Stop Ohio owner, serving as Branch and Sales Manager.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has elected Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack Inc., to the AEM CE sector board to fill an unexpired term. AEM is the North American-based international trade group representing off-road equipment manufacturers and suppliers, with more than 900 companies and more than 200 product lines in the agriculture, construction, forestry, mining and utility sectors worldwide.

Skyjack helped bring holiday cheer to Phoenix during the Christmas season, assisting in the setup of an ice skating rink in the center of downtown. Skyjack dealer New Western Rentals partnered with customer Red Development to build the ice rink in the middle of Central Ave.

ALL Erection & Crane Rental Corp. has acquired two new 20,000-lb. (9,072 kg)-capacity Skyjack ZB2044 telehandlers, the largest capacity telehandler that Skyjack makes and one of the largest manufactured in North America. The two telehandlers, one already at work in ALL’s Columbus, Ohio, yard and one delivered this month to the Cleveland, Ohio, headquarters branch, will satisfy intensifying demand in each of these two markets.

Linamar Corporation appointed Ken Myers as president of Skyjack. Myers previously held the group president post for the powertrain division of Linamar’s automotive manufacturing sector. Prior to joining Linamar, Myers, career included Arvin Meritor Inc., of Troy, Mich., a manufacturer of automotive components for the passenger car and trucking industry.
