The rise of the COVID-19 pandemic has left hospitals around the country in dire need of lifesaving supplies. In Litchfield, Minn., the Meeker Memorial Hospital was facing a serious shortage of emergency supplies, including IV stands, due to the projected influx of COVID-19 patients.

Towmaster Trailers and Truck Equipment is one of several sponsors of a new hands-on, interactive and fun career exploration event that connects education and industry for high school sophomores in central Minnesota. "Ignite Your Future" is hosted by Ridgewater College in Hutchinson, Minn., and is geared toward contributing to the regional economic and workforce needs.

Hickory Homes & Properties Inc. (HH&P) was founded by Enrico Galli over 30 years ago (1986) in Westchester County, N.Y., as a real estate investment company. Towmaster's Truck and Trailer Education Expo on July 10 drew more than 500 people from all over the state of Minnesota. Departments of Transportation, municipal, county and township workers attended to see new equipment, plow trucks and trailers; visit with vendors; take factory tours; and attend education sessions prior to being served a lunch.

Moving a heavy object or piece of equipment from one place to another involves transporting that object in some manner, whether it be human strength, animal power or in most instances — trailers. There are as many types of trailers available as there are jobs that need items hauled.

Despite inclement weather, Towmaster Inc. held two successful events July 11 and 12 at its Litchfield, Minn., plant. The first event was an employee appreciation night. On July 11, Towmaster's employees brought their families to the plant to show them where they worked and the quality products they make at the plant.
