Linder Industrial Machinery is hosting a series of customer appreciation events at different locations to celebrate its 65th anniversary during 2018. The event at the company's Raleigh, N.C., facility was held Oct. 16.

Linder Industrial Machinery Company's 65-year history began in 1953 with the opening of its first location in Lakeland, Fla. Growth and expansion through the years were achieved through leadership that placed customers' needs at the forefront of the business.

Today the company covers the Carolinas and Florida with 18 locations.

Company President John Coughlin sees Linder "evolving into a product support powerhouse."

"We are expanding our services by getting into more specialized types of offerings," Coughlin said. "In addition, we are sending more maintenance trucks to service our customers' equipment. Many contractors have downsized their maintenance staffs in order to reduce overhead. We have provided timely service to get on and off site with limited expense."

Today, Linder supplies Komatsu, Konecrane material-handling products, Wirtgen Group paving equipment, CemenTech concrete solutions and the Carlson commercial paver line of equipment to its seven Florida branch locations.

Linder also carries Superior Broom sweepers; Etnyre tack trucks and chip spreaders; Terramac crawler carriers; Mantsinen material handlers; Atlas cranes and excavators; Al-Jon equipment; and attachments from several manufacturers.

In addition, the material-handling group at Linder now offers Terberg tractors.

Not all manufacturers' products are offered at all locations.
