LJL Machinery in Macon, Ga., opened its doors for business in mid-April as the newest member to the JCB dealer network.

LJL Machinery is a dedicated JCB dealer carrying a full line of equipment including backhoes, mini-excavators, skid steers and more from JCB.

Owner Tim Leskosky is no stranger to the Macon business community. His father, Lewis John Leskosky (Mr. LJL), opened a Mac Truck dealership, LJL Truck Center Inc., back in 1969. Joining his father’s business in 1982, Leskosky has grown up in the machinery industry. Going back 40 years, the LJL name has a long standing reputation for service excellence in the Macon area and LJL Machinery plans to build on that reputation.

“A salesman sells the first machine, but it’s the commitment to the customer through parts and service that keep a business going,” Leskosky said.

After visiting JCB’s North American headquarters in Savannah, Ga., with his wife, Leskosky decided to make the move into the construction equipment industry. Both were impressed with the quality of the products and the strong commitment to the customer. JCB, like LJL Machinery, is a family owned and operated business.

“I like the JCB family approach. They have a high quality product that they stand behind. Since I sold my business last year, I have been looking for something that I can wake up and be excited about doing, and JCB has given me that,” Leskosky said.

The new facility, located at 4855 Harrison Road sits on more than 8 acres and is 11,000 sq. ft. It consists of a 3,000 sq. ft. show room and a heated and air conditioned service department.

LJL will host an open house May 29, at which the JCB Dancing Digger will make an appearance.
