Live Interactive Webcast Auctions
Proxibid offers a dynamic Internet-based application to deliver a visual representation of on-site auctions to Internet bidders. This allows auction companies to provide Internet bidders with a means of participating in “live” auctions through an Internet-based application.
Internet bidders can observe, communicate and participate in a “live” auction online. With Proxibid’s online bidding application, bidders can participate from live auctions from their home or office, just as if they were at the live auction. Bidders can even pre-bid and leave absentee bids.
Proxibid offers timed auctions with extended bidding. Extended bidding during timed auctions ensures that all bidders have the opportunity to bid on and win their item. If a bid is placed during the final five minutes of an auction, the auction is automatically extended five more minutes. This ensures that sniping or bidding at the last second of an auction cannot occur. Additionally, this function levels the playing field for all participants.
For bidders, a timed auction with extended bidding ensures that everyone has the same opportunity to win their item of interest. For auctioneers, a timed auction with extended bidding provides the opportunity to sell an item at a higher price than with other timed auction providers.
