Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers has announced the results of a record-breaking auction held at the company’s facility in Denver, CO, April 4-5.

The unreserved auction resulted in gross auction sales exceeding $20 million, and was the largest auction ever held at that location. Nearly 2,200 people from 38 states and six other nations registered to bid on 1,762 trucks and equipment items. Buyers from outside Colorado bought more than 60 percent of the items.

Approximately 180 people registered to participate in the auction live and in real time over the Internet using the company’s rbauctionBid-Live service. They spent more than $750,000, and were buyers or runner-up bidders on 8 percent of the lots broadcast over the Internet.
