Superior Construction, an American family-owned infrastructure contractor, is investing in the future of its workforce with a new 13,000-sq.-ft. training facility at its Jacksonville, Fla., headquarters. The company expects to break ground in 2026 on the dedicated two-story building that will serve as a hub for employee training, apprenticeship development and hands-on learning opportunities that support Superior's continued growth and evolving workforce needs.

Designed to support employee development at every career stage, the facility will expand access to technical training, leadership development, safety certifications and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

"The future of infrastructure depends on the people building it," said Nick Largura, CEO of Superior Construction. "This facility allows us to expand hands-on training, invest in technology and create more opportunities for employees to learn, grow and advance throughout their careers."

The new facility will feature classroom space, hands-on training areas, heavy equipment simulators, meeting and conference space and a gym. Training opportunities will include apprenticeship instruction in carpentry, pipe laying and heavy equipment operation, along with DOT, OSHA and safety certification programs. The facility also will support intern development, employee training initiatives and company-wide learning events.

The investment comes as demand for skilled construction professionals continues to rise across the nation. In Florida alone, approximately 439,000 additional construction workers are needed to meet current demand, reinforcing the importance of training, workforce development and career advancement opportunities across the industry.

The facility was designed by Kasper Architects + Associates and will be constructed by Stellar Group. Once complete, the facility will help expand training capacity, accelerate workforce development efforts and strengthen Superior's ability to prepare the next generation of construction professionals.
