The company had a unique way of making sure the dealers were paying attention to the training seminars.

Calder Brothers Corporation, manufacturer of Mauldin paving products held a three-day sales training school for its North American dealers at their offices in Greenville, S.C.

To keep the dealers involved in the meeting and not checking their phones too frequently, Calder Brothers gave away a tow-behind smoker to the company who made the high score on the test given at the end of the three-day program. The test was based purely on information presented during the training program.
