Construction Equipment Returns to Southern Farm Show

Mon January 27, 2020 - Southeast Edition #3
Southern Farm Show

The Southern Farm Show, set for its 43rd anniversary at the NC State Fairgrounds on Feb. 5 to 7, will again provide an impressive display of construction, forestry and land clearing equipment. The show — which fills the four available exhibit halls, as well as five major temporary exhibit tents, plus acres of outdoor space — is the largest annual trade show of any type to take place in the Carolinas and Virginia.

Most of the major farm tractor lines, including Case IH, John Deere, New Holland and Kubota, also will showcase their construction lines at the show. They will be joined by the majority of the region's construction equipment dealers. Company Wrench will be showcasing JCB; May/RHI will be there with Hyundai, Yanmar and Hitachi; Sound Heavy Machinery will exhibit ASV, Kobelco, AUSA, Anaconda screeners & stackers and XL specialized trailers; CCS Equipment Sales will be showing Takeuchi rubber track loaders & excavators, Gehl skid steer loaders, RAMMAX trench rollers, Hitachi wheel loaders, Avant mini-loaders, Vibrotech screening machines, Dresser dozers, and LiuGong excavators; ACT Construction Equipment will have Takeuchi and Doosan; and Gregory Poole will be displaying Caterpillar. Ditch Witch of North Carolina also will have a major exhibit at the show.

Forestry and land clearing companies on hand will include Fecon, FAE, Loftness, Seppi M USA and Rut Manufacturing. Complementing these manufacturers will be a good supply of rock pickers and rakes from companies including SHoule and Schulte.

There also will be plenty of attachments, including offerings from WR Long, Construction Attachments Inc., Construction Implements Depot, Loflin Fabrication and others. And a nice selection of trucks and trailers to haul equipment, including MHC Kenworth/Isuzu, with a selection of dump and other trucks.

Construction equipment continues to be a growing part of the over 400 companies that exhibit at the show each year, and it's a trend that seems likely to continue. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Admission and parking are free. For more information on the show, go to www.SouthernFarmShow.com.
