Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida hosted a horizontal directional drilling seminar Nov. 15.

The one-day seminar focused on the techniques of horizontal directional drilling with experts brought in from the Ditch Witch factory and Baroid.

The morning session featured Todd Waskuch, field representative of Baroid Industrial Drilling Products, who went into detail on the needs and uses of various drilling “muds” and led practical demonstrations.

Following the “Mud Seminar” — and a chance to look at the latest in Ditch Witch equipment — experts from The Charles Machine Works, manufacturers of Ditch Witch products, covered drill pipe maintenance and the use of electronic locators.

Adam Hall covered the various aspects of pipe maintenance and usage.

The seminar was held at Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida’s facility in Leesburg, Fla.

Ditch Witch of Central and South Florida is headquartered in Leesburg and has a branch office in Pompano Beach.
