According to Terry Hlavinka, general manager of Hlavinka Equipment Co., June 1 marked the arrival of its first four Terex 417B pull scrapers.

“When Bo Cornett [Terex vice president of sales] introduced us to the 417B, we immediately knew it would be a perfect addition to our product line offering superior quality and value,” stated Hlavinka.

When the company was formed in 1939 as Boettcher-Hlavinka, there was a philosophy established to provide its customers with the products and service that they themselves would want.

“The Terex line of pull scrapers represent the quality and dependability we have come to expect in the Terex backhoe and mini-excavator lines we currently carry,” Hlavinka said.

In 1982, Boettcher-Hlavinka became Hlavinka Equipment Company and it has grown to seven locations in the southern half of Texas. The facilities are located in East Bernard, El Campo, Rosenberg, Nome, Bay City, Taft and Tivoli.

According to the company, these locations position Hlavinka Equipment to provide service to its customers for its entire comprehensive product line.

“Adding the Terex 417B pull scrapers will allow Hlavinka Equipment Company to bring new and innovative equipment to our customers,” Hlavinka said.

“We look forward to dealing with the public through a fine dealer such as Hlavinka Equipment Company,” stated Bo Cornett. “With their existing comprehensive product line and now the Terex 417B Pull scraper, we know that all concerned will enjoy great success in the future.”
