This training is exactly what AIS Construction Equipment Training Center will provide to nine recent high school graduates from across the state of Michigan during the 2016 Summer Technician Entrance Program, also known as STEP.

The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) held its annual conference and trade show Jan. 19 to 21 at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich. As a state wide association focused on Michigan’s road and bridge, sewer and water, utility, railroad, excavation and specialty construction, MITA represents nearly 600 Michigan companies throughout the state.

AIS Construction Equipment recently unveiled the new Komatsu HB215LC-1 hybrid excavator at a demo at a job site on the campus of Michigan State University. The job entailed digging footings for the new science building being built for MSU’s College of Nursing.

The Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) held its annual Conference and Trade Show Jan. 19 to 21 at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Mich. This year the theme was “Engage Your Inner Leader” and featured keynote speaker Dr.

Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City, has set out an initiative to plant one million trees in New York City over the next 10 years and Mana Construction won the bid to plant 5,600 of them. To complete the job, Mana expanded its fleet of equipment with some purchases from All Island Equipment.

Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association held its 4th Annual Conference at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Jan. 16 to 18. The conference featured a general membership meeting, special sessions, group meetings and an opening session featuring keynote speaker, Dick Hoyt of Team Hoyt.

The membership of Associated Underground Contractors –– Michigan’s Heavy Construction Association (AUC) and the Michigan Road Builders Association (MRBA) have approved the merger of their respective organizations to form the Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA).

AED members are stepping up and showing their support of AED Foundation programs. The AED Foundation 2003 annual giving campaign started in September and is already making progress with the generosity of many industry leaders. 2003 investors receive recognition at AED’s Annual Meeting and CONDEX show in San Diego and throughout the year.
