Doosan Infracore is taking driver Kyle Busch and the No. 20 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing south of the border for the fourth renewal of the Mexico 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Mexico City’s legendary former Formula 1 road course – the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

“We’re proud to represent a worldwide industrial leader in NASCAR’s flagship international event at Mexico City,” said J.D. Gibbs, president of Joe Gibbs Racing. “Doosan is no stranger to racing and the power of motorsports sponsorship. In the 10 years since it began sponsoring Joe Gibbs Racing, its machine tools division has more than doubled its market share. Our partnership with Doosan is one we truly appreciate, and it’s our hope that with Kyle and our No. 20 Nationwide Series team at Mexico City, we can continue to build on that kind of success.”

“The vast majority of people in the infrastructure industry are either football fans or NASCAR fans, or both,” said Attila B. Catto, general manager, sales & marketing/director of motorsports, Doosan Infracore. “The association with Joe Gibbs Racing gives us exposure to both groups. The name Joe Gibbs is associated with more than football and racing. Joe Gibbs is known as a winner, and our association with Joe Gibbs Racing conveys that you can’t lose with a Doosan Infracore product.

“We look forward to a successful weekend of racing with Kyle Busch and the No. 20 Toyota team at Mexico City.”

The Mexico City 200 is set for April 20 on the 2.5-mile, 14-turn road circuit in downtown Mexico City. The event was first added to the Nationwide Series schedule in 2005.

Busch has 11 career Nationwide Series victories in 114 starts, and he was runner-up in the 2004 series championship — his only full season on the Nationwide Series tour. Busch’s only Mexico City appearance came in 2006, when he qualified ninth, led five laps and finished seventh. He has two runner-up finishes in six Nationwide Series starts thus far in 2008. Busch is the full-time driver of the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
