Fecon Inc. introduced the BHP270 modular power pack featuring Fecon’s power management system for maximizing performance and torque while minimizing fuel consumption. The BHP270 is designed for use on most excavators in the 20 to 30 ton (18 to 27 t) range.

The modular aspect of the BHP270 overcomes custom engineering of the power pack and dramatically shortens lead times so the installer can begin their work more quickly. Where industry lead times for power packs had run 6 to 8 weeks or more, the modular design of the BHP270 allows Fecon or its dealers to have units in stock for immediate shipment, according to the manufacturer.

The BHP270 comes with a universal adaptor plate that also speeds up the installation process. The universal adapter plate fits a wide variety of excavator designs; the power pack is then mounted to the adapter plate. This eliminates the need to custom design the entire power pack per specific brand, model, and year of excavator design.

Fecon’s BHP270 comes with a Cummins QSB 6.7 260 hp engine, 105 gpm (397 L) hydraulic flow, swing out hydraulic oil cooler, reversing cooling fan, and an 84 gal. (318 L) fuel tank to work a full 8-hr day or more between re-fueling. Attachments that can be run with the BHP270 power pack include Fecon’s BH200EXC-3SDV and BH80EXC-4SDV Bull Hog mulchers and the SH360-100 Stump Hog stump grinder.

Fecon machines and other machines with Fecon attachments are used for clearing, site prep, firebreaks, orchard clean-up and removal, prairie and wetland restoration, agricultural preparation, land development and stump removal applications.
