NTEA Work Truck Show Showcases Latest Products and Equipment

More than 550 exhibitors presented the latest vocational trucks.

The National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) held its 2013 Work Truck Show in conjunction with the 49th Annual NTEA Convention March 6 to 8 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

The event included 500,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space showcasing the latest vocational trucks, equipment and products displayed by more than 550 exhibitors. More than 60 educational sessions, on topics ranging from fleet maintenance to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s new requirements for crane operator certification and qualification, were conducted throughout the event.

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy served as the keynote entertainer, addressing attendees at the President’s Breakfast and NTEA Annual Meeting on March 7.

A few of the major new products announced and on display at the show included Ford’s all-new 2014 Transit van, the 2014 Ram ProMaster introduced by the recently formed Ram Commercial division, and Navistar’s 4x4 version of its International TerraStar.

Among the many major sponsors of the show were Ford, Freightliner, Hino Trucks, IMT, Palfinger and RAM Commercial Trucks.
