Ritchie Bros. Hosts Multi-Million-Dollar Denver Auction

More than 4,000 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million-dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Denver, Colo., on Oct. 3, 2018.

With bidders from 43 countries, approximately 57 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Australia, Egypt and Thailand. Online bidders purchased approximately 53 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 2,100 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including excavators, compactors, skid steers, loaders, dozers, aerial work platforms, truck tractors and more. Specific equipment sale prices are available at rbauction.com with a free account.

Jeff Biffle of Teletractors, a Pinedale, Wyo., contractor, needed an articulated truck for an upcoming project. He hoped to win this Cat 725.

Construction Equipment Guide met up with friends Jon Woodard (L) of Jon’s Salvage, Minatare, Neb., and Nick Ellis, owner of Made in the Shade, a landscape contractor in Longmont, Colo. The pair came across this K-Tec scraper, while Ellis was looking at loaders for an upcoming snow removal contract.
