In response to tremendous growth, both of the company and in the area, West Side has opened a new facility in Rockdale, IL.

“We recognize that the I-80 corridor is a hot spot. It’s exploding in growth,” said Steve Deller, service marketing manager of West Side. “We want to develop a presence there for our customer base.”

Located at 2130 Gould Court, the store is just minutes from the I-80/Larkin Avenue (Route 7) exit with the new Route 355 extension set to pass nearby upon its completion.

The 7,500-sq.-ft. facility features a large parts inventory, complete hydraulic hose fabrication and a fleet of rental equipment. With four bays, the location also will boast complete service capabilities in the very near future.

The company’s parts and sales staff consists of two full-time parts, a customer support advisor and a host of whole-goods sales representatives.

The Rockdale location services Will, Kankakee and Grundy counties and represents John Deere Construction & Forestry Equipment, Bomag, Marini, and Hypac products, Mustang skid steers and track loaders, Indeco hydraulic hammers, Interstate and Felling Tag trailers, Etnyre lowboy trailers, as well as a variety of attachments.

“[The new location] will make it much more convenient for our customers in that area,” said Deller.

West Side has served the construction market in Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana since 1962. The company is headquartered in Naperville with other locations in Rockford, South Holland, Wauconda and now Rockdale, Illinois.
