For Site Prep Company, Backlog of Projects Expected to Carry Into Summer 2012

New retail and commercial site construction dominated Schlouch Incorporated projects during the summer and fall months of 2011 with work on a number of current projects expected to carry over into the spring and summer of 2012. Here is a quick look at Schlouch’s current activity in southeastern Pennsylvania:

Berks County

• Southern Berks Land Co. LP has named Schlouch Incorporated to provide mass excavation for a 40-acre site in New Morgan Borough, Berks County. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, storm sewer, sediment/erosion control and seeding. Work will be completed by January 2012.

Lehigh County

• John S. Clark Company LLC has selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a retail site for a Bottom Dollar facility on 2.7 acres at 1167 MacArthur Road, Whitehall Township, Lehigh County, Pa. Developer of the project is DHD Ventures. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, rock removal, sediment/erosion control, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, building pad, concrete building foundations and slabs, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed by winter 2011-2012.

• Novak Ventures has named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for Hamilton Court Phase 2, a commercial medical office building. The two-acre site is located in south Whitehall Township, Lehigh County. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, sediment/erosion control, building pads, concrete, curbs, paving, landscaping and seeding. Work will be completed by June 2012.

• Ondra-Huyett Associates Inc. chose Schlouch Incorporated to provide concrete work for a 6,200-sq.-ft. commercial building in south Whitehall Township, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pa. The building will be used by PPL as a training center. Schlouch is providing building footers, walls, piers, slabs and exterior aprons. Work will be completed by spring 2012.

• Gioffre Companies Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to provide concrete work for the 8,100-sq.-ft. Firestone Auto Center on Mill Creek Road, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pa. Schlouch is providing building footers, slabs, sidewalks and pads. Work will be completed by spring 2012.

Montgomery County

• Volpe Trucking Inc. selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a six-acre site for a parking lot on Hollow Road, Phoenixville, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, storm sewer, sediment/erosion control, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed by fall 2011.

Northampton County

• Harleysville DHD LLC picked Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 3.5-acre site for a Bottom Dollar store at Stefko Boulevard and North Street in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, rock removal, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, sediment/erosion control, roads, building pad, concrete, curbs, paving, landscaping and seeding. Work will be completed by March 2012.

• Griffin Land & Nurseries Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for two warehouses on Griffin Land Lots 1 and 2. The 51-acre site is located on Fritch Drive, Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, sediment/erosion control, building pads, roads, concrete, curbs, paving, landscaping, seeding and the installation of drainage systems. Work will be completed by summer 2012.

• EDC Inc. has named Schlouch Incorporated to provide site and concrete work for a retail addition on a one-acre site in Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing asphalt demolition, earthwork, storm sewer, water line installation, erosion control, grading, site concrete and paving. Schlouch will provide excavation, installation and backfill of building footers, a concrete retaining wall, concrete building slab and a concrete loading dock. Work will be completed in March 2012.
