The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) has won another competitive grant to help pay for a project to widen two sections of U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke counties. The $10 million grant under a U.S. Department of Transportation (US DOT) program is the second the project has received this year.

The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in Conway on Oct. 9 announced a new $3 million donation from the Alice L. Walton Foundation as it broke ground on its new 100,000-sq.-ft., $45 million Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts. Of the $3 million, one-third will go toward construction of the center.

Multi-Craft Contractors Inc. of Springdale, Ark., completed purchase of a Link-Belt 210-ton (185-t) ATC-3210 all-terrain crane in order to meet growing lifting demands of northwest Arkansas. Multi-Craft began operations in 1972, and services mechanical, electrical, fabrication and HVAC industries, along with other commercial and industrial needs.
