H.O. Penn announced the hiring of Matthew Ahern as machine sales operations manager at its' Newington, Conn., facility. As a former owner of Edward Ehrbar Inc. , Ahern brings a wealth of industry experience with him to his new position. In addition to his role as an owner, he previously held many other positions at Ehrbar including executive vice president.

Not many organizations can say they've been around for nearly 100 years. And fewer still can boast that they are in their fourth generation of family in the industry. But that's exactly what's happening at New York & Connecticut Caterpillar dealer H.O.

H.O. Penn hosted an open house Sept. 26, 2019, in Holtsville, N.Y. Guests were invited to compete in the Cat Global Operator Challenge, enjoy dinner and run various machines in the demo area — even a sandbox filled with mini equipment kept the children busy and having fun.

The event offered operator challenges, demonstrations, simulators, test driving machinery, information tents, food, and a special guest: Jackie Heinricher, Cat's IMSA racecar driver with her #57 Acura for a meet and greet.

On Sept. 11, H.O. Penn Machinery Company Inc. and SITECH Metro Northeast hosted an open house at its Holtsville, N.Y., branch location. The event highlighted how H.O. Penn's and SITECH's numerous offerings improve their customers' business.

On June 13th H.O. Penn Machinery Company Inc. , the Caterpillar dealer for New York City and the surrounding metro market, as well as Connecticut, held an open house at their Newington, Conn., facility.. The open house gave H.O. Penn the opportunity to thank their customers for their support and to showcase the latest machine technology from Caterpillar as well as state-of-the-art technology from SITECH Metro Northeast.

H.O. Penn held a Technology and Equipment Showcase event March 24 at the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 15 Union Training Center in Queens, N.Y., near JFK Airport. Local 15 members and their families, as well as H.O. Penn and SITECH Metro Northeast representatives, gathered at the training center to operate and experience machine control technology on Caterpillar equipment outfitted with Trimble technology.

H.O. Penn hosted more than 100 customers at its Holtsville, Long Island, facility on Sept. 21 for an open house event. During the four-hour event, long-time and prospective customers were able to learn about all of the products and services H.O. Penn has to offer.

On Aug. 11, 2017, the New York Yankees played host to the Boston Red Sox in what is one of the most prolific rivalries in sports history. As the Yankees overcame a three-run deficit to pull out a win in the ninth, H.O. Penn Machinery played host to more than 70 of its largest customers interested in Cat Certified Rebuild offerings.

H.O. Penn, the Caterpillar Dealer for Downstate New York and the State of Connecticut, hosted another well attended open house on June 15 at its Newington, CT, facility. A live demonstration area was the centerpiece of this year's event where customers had the opportunity to dig, load, and grade on site.

Virtually every customer invited attended the Equipment & Technology Showcase hosted by H.O. Penn Machinery Co., Inc. and SITECH Metro Northeast, LLC on April 8, at the IUOE Local 478 Training Center in Meriden, Conn. Clients were able to see, feel and demonstrate the latest advancements in guidance technology on a number of Caterpillar machines that H.O.
