Iron Auction Group

On Nov. 14, Iron Auction Group held its Absolute Public Fleet Reduction Auction in Cedar Bluff, Va. The auction included trucks, trailers, pickup trucks, light towers and generators. The larger excavators, dozers and wheel loaders for sale were mainly manufactured by Komatsu.

The Iron Auction Group rolled into Statesville, N.C., on Oct. 24th and made quick work of auctioning off a nice selection of construction equipment, trucks, trailers and miscellaneous support equipment. A terrific turnout of onsite registered bidders and online bidding made for another successful Iron Auction Group sale.

After 49 years in the grading and construction equipment business, Ronald Ellis, owner of Ellis Equipment & Grading Company Inc., commissioned Iron Auction Group to liquidate his construction equipment, trucks, trailers, support equipment and shop tools.

Iron Auction Group held a one-owner absolute auction for R.L. Smith Inc. March 20 in Mooresville, N.C. Up for sale were excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steer loaders, wheel loaders and more. Attendees came from across the Southeast to buy the iron, and more than 250 registered bidders were able to bid online and live.

The snow didn't stop the crowds from attending Iron Auction Group's Dec. 12 absolute truck/equipment auction in Princeton, W. Va. Items on the block included excavators, skid steers, crawler dozers, cranes, trailers and dump trucks, among others.

On Nov. 7 Iron Auction Group held a successful absolute auction in Aragon, Ga. The event featured late-model dump trucks, road tractors, trailers, logging equipment and related items. Bidders came in from much of the South, although the sale also drew online bidders and international attention.

Matt McGaffee, managing partner, announced the opening of the Iron Auction Group (IAG), a new company committed to the resale of construction, mining and agricultural equipment as well as commercial trucks and trailers. Like his partners, Ross McMillan Jr.
