Kohler's 14 hp Command PRO EFI ECH440 single-cylinder engine that integrates closed-loop electronic fuel injection technology (EFI) brings the benefits of Kohler EFI — including enhanced fuel efficiency, greater overall reliability and easier starting in harsh conditions — to a wide variety of equipment, such as generators, chippers, concrete saws, welders, utility vehicles, stump grinders, air compressors, tillers, water pumps and more.

With the demand for more fuel efficient, low-emission engines on the rise, Kohler Engines is rolling out the ECH440LE engine, a modified version of the popular Kohler Command PRO EFI ECH440 with new, lower emission outputs. The engine significantly reduces emissions, including carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxide (NOx), without sacrificing engine performance, according to the manufacturer.

Kohler Power Systems’ new line of mobile generators offers customers more choice in terms of power output and customization, allowing Kohler distributors to tailor a solution to suit customer requirements and price point. Kohler’s new mobile generator line also includes a propane-powered mobile generator with on-board fuel storage capacity.

A reliable power supply is critical on any job site. That’s why Kohler Co. has launched a new line of portable generators designed to deliver instant power virtually anywhere. The full line from Kohler includes nine models, ranging from a 2.0 kW inverter to a 12.3 kW gasoline generator, plus four portable water and trash pumps in varying diameters.

A hard-hit area on the New Jersey coast received a big gift Dec. 17 from Kohler Generators. In a goodwill gesture, Kohler Generators donated a commercial-grade, standby generator to the Borough of Seaside Park, N.J. The backup generator will provide emergency power to the administration and executive building, which serves as a command center and shelter during crisis situations.

JCB announced the next stage of its engine strategy with the news it has forged a partnership with a leading global manufacturer to produce engines for its compact equipment. JCB has gone from a new entrant in engine manufacturing to an innovative global producer with the first JCB engine rolling off the production line in the UK in November 2004.
