Hoffman Equipment hosted a Drive-Thru Equipment Show March 15 at its Marlboro, N.Y., facility. The very well attended event started out with coffee and donuts but the focus soon turned to equipment. Several manufacturer representatives discussed their companies’ various types of equipment.
The value and popularity of skid steer cold planer attachments is becoming increasingly more evident because of the variety of jobs they can assist with. In addition to small milling jobs in which large milling machines can’t efficiently be used, cold planers are an effective tool for asphalt and concrete pothole and frost heave repair, curb cutting, pavement texturing for improved skid resistance and the removal of traffic lane stripes and roadway around manholes.
The FFC Preparator manufactured by Paladin is designed and built to separate rocks and other debris from the soil while leveling and smoothing to prepare the soil for seeding or sod. Powered by the skid steer’s hydraulics, the FFC Preparator features a rotating bi-directional drum that can till up to 2.5 in.
