Construction Equipment Guide

Keystone Chapter of the Associated Builders & Contractors Inc. (ABC) recognized several local contractor firms for work performed on area construction projects during the annual ABC Awards of Excellence banquet, held June 14.

Nearly four hundred association members, project owners, design professionals and guests were in attendance to help celebrate the 2000 Merit Shop Construction Awards of Excellence Program. The platinum sponsor of this year’s event was Willis, of Hunt Valley, MD.

The Keystone Chapter of the ABC started the Merit Shop Construction Awards Competition 10 years ago to create awareness of outstanding merit shop construction. Over the years, both community and business awareness has grown overwhelmingly.

This year’s program showcased 63 entries, all judged by a panel of design professionals and members of the construction industry who visited each project on site. The judging team scored the projects based upon specific criteria relating to the quality of the construction and workmanship. These scores on the site visits, as well as the scores of the owner’s satisfaction form, determine the project’s total score.

The list of the best-of-category entries receiving the Award of Excellence, along with the second place Award of Merit entries, follows:
