Construction Equipment Guide

As the successor to the PR 751, Liebherr has now launched the PR 752 Litronic.

With a service weight of 32,795 to 40,007 kilograms (72,300 to 88,200 lbs.), the new PR 752 Litronic completes the range of crawler dozers in the new Litronic generation. Its power output of 246 kilowatts (330 hp) is provided by a newly developed turbocharged and intercooled Liebherr diesel engine, which has a low fuel consumption and optimum emission figures.

Peak traction is available at as low a speed as 1.1 kilometers per hour (0.7 mph), which makes the PR 752 Litronic ideal for applications involving a ripper. The ripping forces developed by the PR 752 Litronic are of a magnitude usually associated with larger machines.

The running gear of the PR 752 Litronic is of strong modular-element construction, and attached to the support frame by means of forward-mounted pivot shafts and a swinging beam. It is completely maintenance-free, and permits slight rocking movement which increases the machine’s smoothness of running. The resilient connecting elements on the pivot shafts and the swinging beam suppress shock loads in a highly effective manner. This reduces loads on the machine and also stress on the operator.

Special attention was given when developing the new cab of the PR 752 Litronic to ergonomic design of the operator’s work area. The entire operator’s seat has been turned through 15 degrees, for example, to allow a relaxed sitting position even when working with a ripper. Noise levels in the cab have been significantly reduced by increased insulation. All travel and steering movements are controlled by a single lever.

There is a full range of accessories for the PR 752 Litronic, from the semi-U and U blades to the mechanically pivoted blade. At the rear, there is a choice of single and triple-tooth rippers in a parallelogram configuration, a winch and a towing device. There are special attachments for industrial applications, such as coal handling, U-pattern and refuse blades and blades for wood chips.

With Liebherr machines, there is no need for expensive conversion or special configurations for use on landfills, in forestry, in the storage of coal or wood chips and many other industrial applications. There are ready-made kits for a wide variety of industrial applications, allowing the PR 752 Litronic to be equipped for these applications with a minimum of extra components.

The PR 752 Litronic also features ease of servicing. All elements that require routine maintenance, such as the filter, the dipstick and the filler pipes for water and oil, are located together. Generously dimensioned flaps and the hydraulically tilting cab allow optimum access to all machine components. Automatic dust discharge is just as much part of the standard equipment as the coarse-mesh radiator, which allows cleaning intervals to be significantly extended.
