Before they could reach the controls on a backhoe, Bryan and Kevin Bibbo were knee-deep in construction equipment. In 1979, John Bibbo founded Taylor Rental — which became EquipSource in 1997 — a Cleveland, OH-based rental company. The boys had worked at the rental story all through high school and college. With extensive knowledge of the construction equipment industry, Bryan and Kevin have experienced much success in the Cleveland area.

“We’ve been in the Cleveland area for 20 years,” said Kevin, assistant branch manager. “We’ve formed good relationships with our customers. We know what they need, and they know they’re getting the equipment at good prices with excellent service.”

In the equipment rental business for 20 years, Bryan and Kevin Bibbo now bring their vast knowledge of equipment to the rental business. In 1998, the Bibbos’ company was purchased by United Rentals.

“The possibilities with United Rentals are endless,” said Bryan, branch manager. “We saw the sale as a move forward. With United, we were able to expand and increase our inventory and facilities.”

The company, United Rentals of Cleveland, recently expanded its service capabilities by building a new, 4,100-square foot service building.

“We’re now able to offer faster in and out for our rental customers to drop off and pick up the equipment,” said Kevin. “The turn around time for service on rental equipment and customer repairs is quicker.”

The facility has also expanded with three service bays and one wash bay. “The service bays feature modern servicing equipment and highly trained technicians. The wash bay features a 3,000 pound high pressure washer and a two-inch fire hose to clean equipment quickly,” said Kevin. “Before we had only one service bay in the back of our rental and sales office, which will now be used for service on small equipment.”

The service building, said Kevin, will help business expand while keeping the equipment in top condition for rentals, and the preventative maintenance will allow them to continue offering the highest quality used equipment for sale.
