Bauma 2019

Epiroc has introduced the Combi Cutter 1600 hydraulic attachment to the U.S. market. First unveiled at this year's Bauma exhibition, the CC1600 model for carriers in the 13-23 ton (11.79 to 20.86 t) class offers greater stability with considerably lower weight than previous versions, yet gives the same performance with high crushing force and short cycle times that users expect from Epiroc cutters, according to the manufacturer.

For decades, Sennebogen has been making a name for itself with customer-specific material handlers, especially in the challenging port sector. Sennebogen's versatile line of port material handlers is especially valued when bulk and general cargo needs to be unloaded from the ship or barge as quickly as possible.

Sennebogen has announced plans to deliver the first of its new 895 E Series model to North American customers next year. At an estimated 390 tons and reach of more than 130 ft. (40 m), the 895 E is reputedly the largest material handler ever built. Sennebogen first unveiled the gigantic machine to the public at the firm's world headquarters in Straubing, Germany, coinciding with the Bauma 2019 exposition taking place at nearby Munich.

Sennebogen continues to be a technology leader in the development of electrically powered material handlers. The firm's eGreen machines have been proven to reduce operating costs by up to 50 percent, when compared to the same machines powered by diesel, according to the manufacturer.

The Potain MCT 385 L14 top-slewing crane has won the "Tower Crane of the Year" award at bauma CTT RUSSIA 2019. The award was part of the "Innovations in construction equipment in Russia" contest, which aimed at identifying innovative construction equipment solutions in Russia.

With more than 620,000 visitors from more than 200 countries, bauma 2019 generated the best results in the exhibition's 65-year history from April 8 to 14. The number of visitors rose by approximately 40,000 over the total drawn during the previous event in 2016.

As part of its bauma 2019 product lineup, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) showcased the new Genie GS-4655 scissor lift. The latest addition to the brand's large electric slab scissor lift family, this new eco-friendly machine comes in a compact, lightweight package and combines maximized productivity with increased battery runtime and reduced service costs.

Perkins presented a dedicated team and new technologies focused on hybrid and electric power solutions that are relevant and adapted to meet the specific needs of construction machines at bauma 2019. Following a significant investment in hybrid engines and electrification research, Perkins is showing a range of technologies that will add real value to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) as they design the next generation of off-highway machines, the manufacturer said.

Select Crane Hire from Kent, England, made substantial upgrades to its fleet, finalizing a deal with Terex Cranes for a total of nine tower cranes. United Kingdom's leading building services provider selected four new Terex CTT 202-10 flat top tower cranes, unveiled the first day of bauma, and five Terex CTL 272-18 luffing jib tower cranes.

Johnson Crushers International Inc. has expanded its Kodiak Plus cone crusher series with the new K350+. This mid-range model offers higher production with a smaller footprint. In comparison to the K300+, the K350+ features increases in drive train, stroke, horsepower, weight, head diameter and hold-down force, resulting in an up to 10 percent capacity increase, according to the manufacturer.
