Manitou Group continues to strengthen its 31-year partnership with Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Gehl, a Manitou Group brand, has been the official construction equipment of the 4.2-mi. iconic road track since 1989. The Road America operations team used the Gehl and Manitou equipment to maintain the 640-acre track throughout the year.

Gehl will debut the ALT950 telescopic articulated loader for the first time at National Farm and Machinery show in Louisville, Ky. This full-sized wheel loader adds up to 17 ft. of telescopic lift height and has a tipping capacity of 10,974 lbs. (4,978 kg).

The team at Manitou North America hosted more than 200 Manitou, Gehl and Mustang by Manitou dealers at its 2019 dealer meeting in Milwaukee, Wis. "Our Manitou North America dealer meeting provides a great opportunity to partner with our customers to gain a greater understanding of their needs and find opportunities to align with them to drive sustainable growth," said Mark Hanson, vice president of sales and marketing for the Manitou Group in North America.

The introduction of Gehl's RT135 track loader — a 1,350-lb. capacity machine — has strengthened the manufacturer's product offering to 10 track loader. "The RT135 provides track loader operators with a fully powered machine in a compact design," said Aaron Haynes, global product manager of track loaders, Manitou Group.

Two new product managers join Manitou Group, supporting one of the broadest equipment ranges in the industry. Aaron Haynes, new global product manager of skid and track loaders, and Ben Williams, North American product marketing manager of industrial and rough terrain forklifts, strengthen the product management team, providing in-depth industry and product expertise for the Manitou, Gehl and Mustang by Manitou brands.

The Gehl Foundation awarded two $20,000 collegiate scholarships for students beginning in the fall of 2019. Anna Kiskunas, daughter of Manitou Group employee Steve Kiskunas, and Andrew Loehr, son of Manitou Group employee Thomas Loehr, are the recipients of the scholarships for 2019.

Manitou Group announced that Gehl will be the "Official Construction Equipment" for the 24th consecutive year at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, Calif., April 12-14, 2019. Manitou North America rounds out its senior leadership team, adding three key team members positioned to drive the customer experience for its Manitou, Gehl and Mustang by Manitou brands. Myron Birschbach was announced as the new vice president of service and aftermarket; Scott McGuigan, eastern region vice president of Manitou North America sales; and Jill Pintor, business coordinator of Manitou North America.
