Komatsu America Corp.'s PC290LCi-11 features intelligent machine control (iMC), which is based on Komatsu's unique sensor package, including stroke sensing hydraulic cylinders, an IMU sensor and GNSS antennas. This technology utilizes 3D design data loaded in the control box to accurately check its position against the target to semi-automatically limit over-excavation.

Komatsu America Corp. has introduced the PC1250SP-11 and PC1250LC-11 Tier IV final emissions certified hydraulic excavators. These new EPA Tier IV Final (T4F) certified models have SAA6D170E-7 engines with two Komatsu diesel particulate filters (KDPF) that do not require diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) system.

Takeuchi-US's newest compact excavator, the TB250-2, weighs 10,957 lbs. (canopy) and provides Takeuchi with a true 5-ton excavator offering that is well-suited for a wide range of applications including landscape, general contracting and rental, according to the manufacturer.

The crane excavator manufacturing industry in the 1950's began to launch hybrid mechanical cable and hydraulic machines like the Lima Type 25 front-end loader. Those efforts coincided with the increased manufacture of rubber tired front-end loaders, like the Hough Pay Loader line.

The Cat mini hydraulic excavator universal coupler expands the range of Cat couplers designed to increase machine versatility and production in a variety of applications. The universal coupler either pins to the stick, or, can be picked up with the dual lock coupler, allowing skid-steer attachments to be interchanged and operated on the excavator.

Komatsu America Corp. , introduced the new PC170LC-11 hydraulic excavator at the ConExpo-Con/AGG 2017 tradeshow. Featuring a 121 net horsepower, EPA Tier IV Final, SAA4D107E-3 engine, the new PC170LC-11 is a versatile, all-purpose construction machine that offers an enhanced power mode for up to six percent more productivity.
