Power Equipment Scoops Up All of TN With Etnyre, Broce

Power Equipment Company has renewed its focus of the paving business by becoming a one-stop shop for roadbuilding contractors in Tennessee and northern Mississippi.

The company started this revamp last year by continuing its coverage of Broce Brooms into the rest of Tennessee. Previously, the company had covered this and other lines, such as Etnyre, Ingersoll-Rand and Blaw-Knox, strictly in western Tennessee and northern Mississippi.

"With the success that Power had in those areas with the accounts, we were very excited for the opportunity to have the account in the rest of the state," said Andy Moon, vice president of sales of Power Equipment Company

It also expanded the Etnyre line of paving products into the rest of the Volunteer State in January.

The lines represented in this recent move include asphalt distributors, chip spreaders, street flushers and lowboy trailers.

The customer response to both additions has been "very favorable," Moon said. "The product lines are very complimentary to our already established paving line."

Power Equipment Company offers Ingersoll-Rand compactors and Blaw-Knox pavers. "Since we enjoy the highest marketshare for those paving lines, the Etnyre product line has been very complimentary, especially with the distributors." Etnyre is the marketshare leader for its distributors in the area, according to Moon.

He noted that these new lines have been highly popular with the company's municipality and private customers.

"Power Equipment Company is making a concerted effort to round out our product offering for the roadbuilding contractor. Now we feel like we are making strides to achieve that goal of a complete offering," he explained.

Other than its paving lines, Power Equipment Company is the Komatsu dealer in Tennessee and northern Mississippi, and represents Grove, Dressta, Tramac, PSI maintainers, Moxy and Terex. It also covers Blount forestry products from its location in Tupelo, MS.
