Construction began in May 2018 on the California Department of Transportation's (Caltrans) $150.7 million Interstate 710 Pavement Rehabilitation and Bridge Widening Project, which was awarded to Flatiron Construction Corporation in February 2018. Crews have been making solid progress on the project that covers a 3.5-mi.

Mack Trucks demonstrated the Mack LR Electric, a fully electric version of the Mack LR refuse model, to officials from the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) at the Allentown, Pa.-based Mack Customer Center. Unveiled in May 2019, the Mack LR Electric will begin real-world testing in Q2 2020 in DSNY's demanding operations.

Construction crews are in the midst of a $135 million infrastructure project that will complete reconstruction of the final mile of a section of the New England Thruway (I-95) that carries traffic from New York City to the Connecticut border. The work marks the end of a long and often challenging undertaking.

Mack Trucks announced that proceeds from the online auction of a customized Mack Anthem used by the Zac Brown Band during its 2018 Down the Rabbit Hole Live tour would benefit Camp Southern Ground. Founded by Zac Brown, the nonprofit camp serves children ages 7 to 17, providing them with activities that educate, challenge and connect them in a beautiful, natural environment.

Mack Trucks is further increasing the Mack Anthem model's fuel efficiency with the addition of an all-new extended chassis fairing option. Seamlessly integrated with the Anthem model's existing fairings, the new option directs air more smoothly around the rear axles to improve fuel efficiency by up to 0.5 percent.

Mack Trucks announced its continued support of the American Trucking Association's (ATA) Workforce Heroes program, which includes the donation of a Mack Anthem 70-inch stand up sleeper model. In line with its commitment to highway safety, Mack Trucks announced that it would again sponsor the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Share the Road program in 2020. Mack has sponsored Share the Road since 2001, and made the announcement regarding 2020 during the ATA Management Conference and Exhibition (MC&E) at the San Diego Convention Center.

Mack Trucks announced Geotab Drive for Mack Trucks, which leverages cloud computing via Geotab, a global leader in IoT and connected transportation, to deliver reliable Electronic Logging Data (ELD) and Compliance services. Mack made the announcement during the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Management Conference & Exhibition (MC&E) at the San Diego Convention Center.

Mack Trucks announced it will focus on the fuel efficiency of its Mack Anthem model at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Management Conference and Exhibition (MC&E) 2019 Oct. 5-9 at the San Diego Convention Center. "Our fleet customers' bottom lines are significantly impacted by the expense associated with fuel, so Mack will be introducing new options to improve fuel efficiency, resulting in a better return on investment," said Roy Horton, director of product strategy of Mack Trucks.

Mack Trucks recently released the fourth episode of its RoadLife 2.0 series featuring TransLand Trucking, a truckload and logistics services provider based in Springfield, Mo. The episode highlights TransLand's humble beginnings, which have given rise to a premier trucking company focused on treating its employees like family and giving back to the community with help from the Mack Anthem.
