Mack Trucks has turned over the keys to its highly anticipated LR Electric demonstration model to New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) officials, who will put it through rigorous, real-world trials. "Mack Trucks is proud to deliver to DSNY their first fully electric refuse vehicle, the Mack LR Electric, so it can begin its in-service trial in their demanding application," said Jonathan Randall, Mack Trucks senior vice president of North American sales and commercial operations.

Mack Trucks' all-new Mack MD Series of medium-duty vehicles is now in full production at Mack's new Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO) facility in the Roanoke Valley, Va. "Mack Trucks is very proud of the dedication of the RVO team, who worked tirelessly to begin full production amidst the challenges of COVID-19," said Martin Weissburg, president of Mack Trucks.

Mack Trucks announced plans to commercialize the Mack LR Electric, its refuse model equipped with a fully electric integrated Mack drivetrain. Orders for the Mack LR Electric will open in Q4 2020, with deliveries beginning in 2021. "Mack's leadership in the refuse segment goes back more than a century, and we're pleased to build on that heritage today by announcing the commercialization of the LR Electric model," said Martin Weissburg, president, Mack Trucks.

With the NASCAR Cup Playoff Series under way, Mack Trucks, the "Official Hauler of NASCAR," is offering its customers and dealers exclusive live online sessions through the Mack NASCAR Virtual Experience for an up-close understanding of life in the playoffs.

Mack Trucks announced that effective Oct. 1, 2020, Gunnar Brunius has been appointed vice president and general manager of Mack's Lehigh Valley Operations. The facility, which is located in Lower Macungie Township, Pa., produces all heavy-duty Mack truck models built for North American and export markets.

Mack Trucks recently hosted a virtual deep-dive session about the all new Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks for more than 300 people, who represented more than 200 different municipalities and companies, as well as their Mack dealers. The event highlighted key features of the MD Series exterior, such as sharp wheel cut for maneuverability and industry-best bumper-to-back-of-cab (BBC) measurement, as well as interior features, including a standard air-ride driver's seat and an ergonomically designed dash.

After nearly 20 years starting as a union laborer and then operating excavators for various companies, Joe Correia established Correia Excavators to do basic residential excavating and site work in 1987 with not much more than a dream, a vision, an American model 25 excavator and a 1962 B Model Mack dump truck.

Mack Trucks announced that the all-new Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks will be supported by Mack's extensive body builder resources, ensuring the same level of support provided for its Class 8 vehicles. The Mack Body Builder Support Team and the Mack Body Builder Portal offer customers, body builders and dealers the tools needed for a quick upfit process of truck bodies and equipment.

Mack Trucks recently began initial production of its all-new Mack MD Series of medium-duty trucks at its Roanoke Valley Operations (RVO) facility in the Roanoke Valley, Va. Full production of the Mack MD Series is scheduled to begin Sept. 1, 2020. Mack announced in January it had invested $13 million to establish RVO to produce the Mack MD7, a class 7 model with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of 33,000 lbs., and the Mack MD6, a Class 6 model, with a GVWR of 25,995 lbs.

Mack Trucks, the "Official Hauler of NASCAR," unveiled two customized truck wrap designs for its Mack Anthem haulers as part of the NASCAR Salutes Refreshed by Coca-Cola campaign. Fans cast their votes for four wraps, choosing designs that will decorate two trucks from NASCAR's fleet of Mack Anthem haulers.

To better serve customers, as well as enhance its capability to support military and government contracts, Mack Defense has relocated its headquarters to the Mack Customer Center (MCC) located in Allentown, Pa. The move, which was recently completed, also provides Mack Defense additional working space and access to other MCC amenities.
