An awareness of the effect the coronavirus pandemic was having on the food supply in the local community and beyond recently led the folks at Messick's to step in and see if they could help in a different way. The farm and construction equipment dealership has five stores in South Central Pennsylvania.

Messick's Christmas Light Show in Elizabethtown, Pa., raised a total of $42,704.56 from 4,352 cars that attended the event. The light show display ran each evening from Dec. 1 through 30 with the help of volunteers who run the show and collect donations for local charities.

Messick's Equipment's 7th annual Christmas Light Show has opened. The show, which is free and open to the public, features a drive-up show full of tractors, lights and energy-filled Christmas music. Last year Messick's collected $45,368.40 of donations at the Christmas Light Show, bringing the 6-year total of donations raised to $212,712.02.

Kubota Tractor Corporation announced five new farmer veteran tractor recipients as part of its 2019 "Geared to Give" program in partnership with the Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC). For the second year, Kubota honored five veterans, adding a fifth veteran last year to represent its newly-created Midwest operating division.

For the sixth year, Messicks Equipment in Elizabethtown raised money for local charities with its annual Christmas Light Show display. The donation-only event was held each night in December and open to the public to enjoy from the warmth of their cars.
